Challenging Project
Server rooms are one of the biggest challenges in the construction world – we write about this in more detail on our blog.
This was no different in the case of the one executed near Berlin. Purely engineering issues were compounded by logistical ones.
Budizol delivers precast elements on time to the other side of the Baltic Sea, but the crossing of the Oder River itself requires precise planning and efficient execution. There were as many as 2141 elements to be delivered to the construction site! Naturally, in the correct sequence and at the right time, so that assembly could be carried out directly from the wheels (Just-In-Time) and thus minimize the need for on-site storage space.
This construction project was the biggest test of Budizol’s organizational capabilities in its history. From a purely engineering standpoint, it is also noteworthy due to two aspects:
- Numerous prestressed precast elements necessary for transferring high loads
- An uncommon number of installations accounted for in the BIM design executed to the LOD 500 standard
Our certificates
Nordcert
It awards certificates for products, processes and persons in the field of reinforcement, concrete and aggregates and educates in the area of related competences.
Betong och Ballast Certifiering
Swedish industry certificate. Products marked with it require only a simplified acceptance control and do not require testing of the declared properties.
PÜZ BAU
In its current form – a control body for precast concrete and reinforced concrete elements – PÜZ BAU has been operating since 2006.
