School in Norrköping
Educational facilities are not typically associated with unique architectural solutions in Poland. The Swedes, however, present a slightly different approach in this regard. Due to the shorter construction season, they are also accustomed to prefabrication, which allows projects to be realized according to strict schedules. They frequently utilize the services of Polish manufacturers for this purpose. Therefore, when the residents of Norrköping envisioned enormous drawings on the wall of a new school, they approached Budizol.
Thanks to this collaboration, the largest Graphic Concrete façade in Europe was created alongside the prefabricated school. Not only its production but also its assembly required extraordinary precision – the drawn shapes were divided across several adjacent elements, so even minor shifts would have spoiled the overall visual effect.
