The construction of the Biodiversity Centre located near Śniardwy was to interfere with the surrounding nature as little and as briefly as possible. It was therefore an ideal situation for the use of prefabrication. Elements assembled directly “from the wheels”, i.e. transport arriving straight from the factory, do not take up space on the construction site, and working with them generates very little space pollution: waste and noise.
The round shape of the buildings was not a challenge for Budizol’s flexible production lines. The precise fit of the prefabricated elements and the resulting tightness of the buildings allow, for example, the use of highly energy-efficient advanced heating systems throughout the entire complex.
