Hybrid ceilings can take two basic forms:
- a reinforced concrete slab with glued wood beams running underneath
- a CLT wood slab with a reinforced concrete screed above it
Both solutions have their advantages and their use depends on the specific needs.
The beams allow for additional installations to be placed between them, e.g. ventilation or electrical.
A CLT wood slab, on the other hand, allows for a lower height of the elements and a beautiful and natural finish without any additional work.
