Budizol Group Hotels
Budizol’s relationship with the hotel industry began somewhat by accident. However, the group quickly appreciated the potential of this industry and its value in supporting the manufacturing business, which is why it consistently invested in increasingly exclusive properties made available to guests.
The initial coincidence was the construction of the Holiday Inn in Bydgoszcz on a plot of land that had been purchased for another investment. The second step was the construction of the Rosevia Resort & Spa on the Baltic Sea using prefabricated elements.
Next, Budizol’s attention focused on Warsaw. First, the historic tenement house at 40 Smolna Street, which currently houses the boutique Indigo Hotel, was renovated. As part of the work under the existing building, four underground floors were built, one was added, a patio was built and a chandelier several stories high in the form of a glass installation was suspended there.
The biggest challenge, not only in terms of conservation, turned out to be the next project: the revitalization of the neighboring Branicki and Szaniawski palaces located right next to the Old Town. Preparatory work lasting several years and construction work lasting several more years gave a spectacular effect. It was appreciated not only on the Vistula: Verte is the first hotel in Poland from the Marriott Autograph Collection.
